Pentacon 5,6 / 500 MC telephoto lens: The lenses are
far as I can see it clear and free of scratches. If you look closely, very slight cleaning marks are visible.
In the very large front element on the extreme edge of a tiny air pocket visible. This is, however, does not. In the one picture you can see the inclusion of the left. The top point is the inclusion, including the shadow of it.
The lenses are multicoated (MC), which affects the image quality very positive compared to the non-MC version.
The case is also in very good condition, almost as new, apart from minimal hair scratches and a few tiny cracks on the edges of the tripod mount, this can be seen only in the exact eye-catcher. Otherwise, the housing is free of scratches, I can see no dents. The objective of the leather case has minor wear. Furthermore, it lacks the long strap, short strap on the upper side it is still there. The two loops of the large strap is still there, so it can also attach a new, own belt.
When I got the lens, the aperture blades were hanging out (sealed) and the focus ring was very difficult (gummy grease). Then the lens was repaired:
- aperture blades degreased and re-sorted -> panel working again easily and correctly
- greased focus helical thoroughly cleaned and new -> Focus ring goes back even and much lighter than before
Inside, the objective is to repair a few scratches there, which has neither of optical or mechanical properties of the lens any effect! From the outside, no repair marks are visible!
The focus ranges from 150m to 6m to infinity.
Aperture 5.6 to 22 infinitely adjustable, circular with 19 aperture blades.
